I was reading news stories about the two-day general strike in Athens and other major cities which ended today with the approval of the new austerity plan by Greek MPs, after another day of violent protests and one dead (of heart attack, not injured in protests).
I then found this article published on the BBCs website on Monday. It focuses on an issue that has gone largely unnoticed by most Greek media (I heard only one case on TV), but shows in the clearest possible way a darker side-effect of recession. Depression and suicide.
